I'm a Statistics and Computer Science student at the University of Toronto, drawn to the messy parts of distributed systems and the tools engineers actually live in. I recently interned at Intact Insurance, working on the backend of a distributed developer portal, chaos-engineering failure modes and building tooling that improved productivity and reliability for 300+ engineers. Before that, I built an internal developer platform from scratch at Enercare, and I lead dev teams at Google Developer Group and UofT's Computer Science Enrichment Club. On my own time I build AI-driven, event-driven systems: an agent that reads receipts and settles debts, a real-time volleyball drop-in network, and a tool that turns notes into walkable 3D memory palaces.▮
Experience
2021 — 2026▸Intact InsuranceJan 2026 – Apr 2026 · 4 mosSoftware Developer InternToronto, ON
Architected a distributed Apache Kafka pipeline processing 10K+ daily Copilot events for 300+ engineers, and built an OrgTree UI + Spring Boot service merging GitHub and MS Graph data into 2,000+ enriched employee nodes. Drove SRE reliability to 99.9% with LitmusChaos experiments on Kubernetes and LGTM observability, shipped a productivity dashboard comparing AI-tool usage to GitHub metrics, and automated a 1,000+ repo GitHub Cloud migration in Python.
▸EnercareMay 2025 – Dec 2025 · 8 mosSoftware Engineer InternMarkham, ON
Built an Admin Portal centralizing tools and workflows across 5 engineering teams, with PostgreSQL-backed audit logging of every self-service and admin action. Reduced production debugging time 40% via user impersonation, OpenTelemetry traces, and Azure Application Insights, optimized queries and indexes on the main customer database, and deployed NextAuth.js / Entra ID SSO + RBAC for 500+ IT staff on Azure Container Apps with Docker CI/CD.
▸Google Developer Group UofT ScarboroughMay 2025 – Dec 2025 · 8 mosSoftware Developer & Organization LeadScarborough, ON
Built and deployed a Next.js / TypeScript student platform on Cloudflare for 500+ students and organizers, securing admin and API routes with server-side Firebase Auth token verification and role-scoped RBAC. Modeled event, team, and applicant records in Firestore with Cloud Functions triggers, and built Google Vertex AI–powered resume screening to rank applicants with reviewer queues and status tracking.
▸Computer Science Enrichment ClubSep 2024 – Dec 2025 · 1 yr 4 mosDirector of Research and DevelopmentToronto, ON
Led R&D for one of UofT's largest CS clubs — ran technical workshops and mentored students building real projects, growing engagement across the community.
▸University of Toronto Aerospace TeamDec 2024 – May 2025 · 6 mosData Processing Team MemberToronto, ON
Processed and cleaned flight + sensor data for the Aerospace Team's competition pipeline, turning raw telemetry into usable datasets.
▸University of Toronto ScarboroughSep 2023 – Apr 2024 · 8 mosIT Student Help Desk Representative · Contract · Part-timeToronto, ON · On-site
Front-line support for UTSC students and staff — triaged tickets, fixed account, hardware, and network issues, and kept the computer labs running.
▸Champs SportsJul 2023 – Sep 2023 · 3 mosSneaker Slinger · Permanent · Part-time// officially: Retail Sales AssociateToronto, ON · On-site
Moved sneakers and matched people to the right pair. Hit sales targets, ran the stockroom, and survived launch-day lineups.
▸ZaraSep 2021 – Jul 2023 · 1 yr 11 mosProfessional Clothes Folder · Permanent · Part-time// officially: Retail Sales / Stockroom AssociateToronto, ON · On-site
Folded a small mountain of clothes into submission. Kept the floor shoppable, ran the stockroom, and handled customers through peak retail chaos.
▸McDonald'sMar 2021 – Sep 2021 · 7 mosBurger Flipper · Permanent · Part-time// officially: Restaurant Crew MemberToronto, ON · On-site
Ran the line during rushes — speed, accuracy, and grace under a full drive-thru. First job; learned to keep my cool when it's slammed.

Projects
- Broke Besties — Event-driven expense-sharing app where a LangGraph + Gemini agent scans receipts via OCR and turns plain language into debts, with async Kafka workers driving Stripe payments, settlements, and email on a Prisma/Supabase backend.
- CourtSync — Volleyball drop-in app built on Spring Boot microservices over gRPC, with an event-driven Kafka + Redis backend for real-time drop-ins, RSVPs, and waitlists, and Elasticsearch geo-search over PostgreSQL deployed on Kubernetes with Terraform.
- Loci — Turns notes into walkable 3D memory palaces in under 30s via a Gemini OCR-to-object pipeline, with a sub-2s voice/text AI agent on GCP and 15+ interactive Three.js rooms with AI-graded quizzes.
- Planetze — Android app tracking 50+ daily carbon activities with Firebase, backed by 95% test coverage.
- ML Network Intrusion — Compared Logistic Regression, MLP, Random Forest, and XGBoost on UNSW-NB15 network traffic, using feature engineering and threshold tuning to push tree-based models to 0.8784 F1 and 0.9729 ROC-AUC.
Outside of Work
Away from the keyboard, I'm usually playing volleyball, basketball, or bouldering with friends, catching up on the latest seasonal anime, or trying out a new recipe on the weekend. Cooking is a new hobby I've been leaning into. When I'm in, I'm usually on Discord with friends, queuing up Valorant or Arc Raiders late into the night. I also love getting out of the city for a portage trip with friends whenever I can nothing better resets the brain like a canoe and no signal. And at home, I'm outnumbered by my five cats.
